ROSE BORKIN, 88, of Deer-
field Beach, Fla., died Aug. 4.

Yapir of Tel Aviv, Mary Lubell

69, of Ypsilanti, died Aug. 13.
Survived by two sisters, Mrs.
David (Charlotte) Prussian
and Mrs. Jack (Bernice) Graff;
nieces and nephews.

EDITH ZIMMERMAN, 82,
of Detroit, died Aug. 18. Sur-
vived by two sisters, Shirley
and Mrs. Florence Helfand;
two nieces and six nephews.

JACK ZUCKERMAN, died
Aug. 14. He leaves his wife,
Ida; a daughter, Mrs. Gene
(Susan) Farber; two brothers,
Isaac and Shrulik; three
sisters, Mrs. Ann Zack of
Arizona, Mrs. Rose Grand of
California and Mrs. Esther
Miller; and three grand-
children.

War Vet Max Ostrow

Max Ostrow, owner of Max
Ostrow and Sons Floor Cover-
ing, died Aug. 15 at age 92.

Born in Russia, Mr. Ostrow
lived most of his life in
Detroit. He was a member of
the Polar Bear Expeditionary
Force sent to Russia in World
War I. He was a member of
the Oak Park Lodge of the
Masons, Cong. B'nai David,
Veterans of Foreign Wars and

the Jewish Home for the
Aged.
He leaves a son, Allen; two
daughters, Mrs. Bernard
(Beatrice) Wigler of Albany,
N.Y., and Mrs. Sheldon
(Eileen) Altman of Anaheim,
Calif.; a brother, Ben; two
sisters, Mrs. Aaron (Marian)
Wirt and Mrs. Morris (Nor-
ma) Ulene of Montreal, Que.;
eight grandchildren and 12
great-grandchildren.
