Game Room
Expands Options

Canasta and other card
games are now among the
games available to senior
adults in the senior adult
room in the main Jewish
Community Center.
The game room opens every
Monday at 10 a.m. in the
Allen Lounge. Refreshments
will be served. Everyone is in-
vited free of charge. For infor-
mation on senior adult pro-
grams at the main Jewish
Center, call Judy Samson,
661-1000.

Seniors Talk
About The Issues

Abe Gornbein will lead a
discussion on current events
for senior adults at 1 p.m.
Monday in the Henry and
Delia Meyers Memorial
Library of the main Jewish
Community Center.
All are invited free of
charge.

Yiddish Class
Due For Seniors

The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center, Jimmy Pren-
tis Morris Branch, has begun
a conversational Yiddish
class. The class meets at 1

p.m. Fridays in room 2 of the
JPM Branch.
A video cassette of jour-
nalist Wolf Blitzer speaking
at the Book Fair will be
shown in the JPM library at
1:30 p.m. Monday.
Social worker Sue Ochman
of Sinai Hospital will give a
talk on "There Are Ways to
Cope" at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the
JPM assembly hall. The se-
cond part of the film, Kissing
Bandit, at 2 p.m. Tuesday in
the JPM assembly hall.
At 11 a.m. Thursday in the
JPM's Jaffe Hall, Ilene
Wagner will present a lecture
on "Retired Reach Out to
Others." Sinai Hospital, in
conjuction with the senior
adult department of the
Center, will provide a
pulmonary screening from 1
to 3 p.m. Thursday in the
JPM assembly hall.
Lill Freedland and Harriet
Goldman will entertain the
culture club with Yiddith
music at 1 pl.m. Thursday in
the JPM's Jaffe Hall. The
public is invited.
