This was announced by Sharon Hart and Larry Jackier, general chairmen. The telethons will be held next Wednesday and Aug. 17. Lessman recently com- pleted the chairmanship of the donor event of American Women for Bar-Ilan. She also serves that organization as its fund raising vice president. Her husband Salek serves on the American Board of Overseers. Shapiro has served Bar- Ilan's synagogue liaison and established the annual Bar- Ilan Shabbat. The telethon precedes Bar- Ilan's Sept. 2 dinner. Emery I. Klein will receive an honorary fellowship in recognition of his work on behalf of the university and the Jewish community. The dinner will also mark the inauguration of the Emery and Diane Klein Business Fellowship Fund, and presentation of the Lookstein Community Ser- Nora Lessman Sherman Shapiro vice Award to Senator Carl Levin.
