Norman Cohen, co-founder
of the U.S. Lumber Co. in
Detroit, died July 23 at age
85.
Born in Poland, Mr. Cohen
founded his company in 1929
and retired in 1970. He was a
member of Pisgah Lodge of
B'nai B'rith, Adat Shalom
Synagogue, Cong. Beth
Shalom and established the
Molly and Norman Cohen
Forest in the JFK Peace
Forest in Israel.
He leaves a son, Norton J.;
a daughter, Mrs. William
(Lorraine) Solomon; a brother,
Abraham; a sister, Mrs. Ber-
nice Radner of Hallandale,
Fla.; and four grandchildren.

Sara Last, a life member of
Cong. Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses and its sisterhood, died
July 25.
Born in Poland, Mrs. Last
also was a life member of the
Jewish Naional Fund.
She leaves a son, Morris;
