the 1987 National Jewish
Book Awards, as announced
by Abraham Kremer,
president of the Jewish Wel-
fare Board (JWB) Jewish
Book Council. Their works
ranged from a children's book
about a Refusenik family
written from the perspective
of a 12-year-old girl, through
a shocking study of how
physicians could become kil-
lers during the Holocaust, to
a compendium of Jewish folk
art.
