Dr. Ted and Ida Goode

Dr. Ted and Ida Goode of
Flint recently celebrated
their 50th wedding anniver-
sary at the West Bloomfield
home of their daughter and
son-in-law, Carolyn and Mit-
chell Simmer.

The party was hosted by the
couple's children: the Sim-
mers, Dr. and Mrs. Michael
Goode of Madison, Wis., and
Dr. Merton Goode of San
Francisco, Calif. The simcha
was attended by 110 friends
and relatives.
The senior Dr. Goode was
graduated from Detroit Nor-

thern High School and
Eastern Michigan University,
where he played both varsity
basketball and golf. He was
graduated from the Universi-
ty of Detroit Dental School in
1937.
Ida Talkow Goode was
graduated from Flint Nor-
thern High School and
Eastern Michigan University.
She taught elementary school
in the Flint Public School
System.
The couple has six grand-
children: Amy, Mark, Laurel
and Marla Simmer; and
Kevin and Joel Goode.

Beber 50th

Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Beber
are celebrating their 50th
wedding anniversary. They
were married at Cong.
Shaarey Zedek on July 18,
1937. After their wedding
they moved to Toronto, Ont.,
where Mr. Beber was a
pharmacist.
They returned to Detroit
with their daughters, Jac-
queline and Rosalie, in 1944.
Mr. Beber became a partner
in Modern Men's Shop in
Hamtramck. He worked in
the clothing business until
his retirement in 1980. The
couple are long-time
members of Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
The Bebers will be honored
at a dinner party for family
and friends hosted by their
children, Drs. James and Jac-
queline Grekin and Mr. Joel

conference in Philidelphia.
Discussions included restric-
tive employment and admis-

the aged that receive govern-
ment funds.
