Stocker, P.C. JARC Re•Elects Feldman Michael S. Feldman was re- elected president of the Jewish Association for Retarded Citizens. Elected with him were: Cheryl Guyer, Nancy Jacob- son and Michael Pitt, vice presidents; David Frank, treasurer; and Joel Shere, secretary. Directors elected for a second three-year term were: Nora Barron, Arthur Golumbia, Nancy Jacobson, Robert Jasgur, Adell Megdall and Eugene Mondry. Elected for a first three-year term were: David Frank, Arthur Horwitz, Robert Kaplow, Lin- da Lutz, Jay Richman, Judy Richmond and Beverly Talan. The business meeting also included a special presenta- tion honoring Ron Stone of Stone, August and Co. "for volunteer hours given to JARC over the years." The JARC Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to the Oak Park Masonic Lodge "for four years of service to the Haverim Home residents." Ed Spivak, wor- shipful master, • and Jerry Weiner, community services chairman, accepted the award. Julie Singer, coordinator of the DeRoy Apartment Pro- gram, received the 1987 Joseph Tanzman Memorial Award "for excellence in ad- ministration." The Award is Michael Feldman named in memory of JARC's first president. The Anna Slomovitz Honorary Award for ex- cellence in home manage- ment was given to Tom Har- tgraves, residential program coordinator for three Haverim. homes. Mrs. Slomovitz was a founding member of the association and a driving force in the establishment of the first JARC home. Kimberly Davis received the Marilyn Sisler Memorial Award for excellence in direct care service. The award memorializes a long-time Haverim Home resident who died several years ago.
