Dean Gould, Beverly Leuchter and Arthur Liss have been appointed by the university's Detroit Friends to chair their annual New Prospects evening. The arrangements commit- tee will be chaired by Bever- ly Liss. The new leadership committee is co-chaired by Bernard Stollman and Alan Yost. The Bar-Ilan telethon com- mittee is co-chaired again this year by Nora Lessman and Sherman Shapiro. Abraham Pasternak has been appointed Bar-Ilan's synagogue liaison. Jacob Rosenthal has been retained as Windsor's Bar-Ilan chair- man. In Toledo, Leo Goldner has assumed the Bar-Ilan chairmanship. At the September dinner, Bar-Ilan will honor Emery I. Klein "in recognition of his many years of service on its behalf." It will mark the in- auguration of the Emery and Diane Klein Business Fellowship Fund. At the din- ner, the university will also confer its communal service award on Sen. Carl Levin.
