Roth at 11 a.m. Tuesday in
room 4 of the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Branch of the Jewish
Center. At 12:30 p.m., there
will be a ceremony to honor
naturalized citizens. The film,
Yankee Doodle Dandy, will be
shown in the assembly hall.
The senior adult depart-
ment and Sinai Hospital will
co-sponsor an eye screening,
including glaucoma testing,
at 1 p.m. Thursday in the
JPM assembly hall.
Sam Barnett will present
musical selections as part of
the Erev Shabbos program at
12:30 p.m. July 10 in Jaffe
Hall of the JPM.
A pilot program of the
senior adult department and
Temple Emanu-El is planned
for 6 p.m. July 24. Sabbath
dinner, candlelighting and
kiddush will take place at a
nominal fee in Jaffe Hall.
There is a fee. Following din-
ner and entertainment,
seniors and their families will
join Temple Emanu-El for ser-
vices and kiddush. For reser-

Senior Shopping
Days Offered
West Bloomfield Parks and
Recreation offers regularly
scheduled shopping days to
area malls for West Bloom-
field seniors. Each trip is com-
plete with door-to-door
transportation. For reserva-
tions, call the parks and
recreation office, 334-5660, on
the Monday before each trip.
There is a charge.
The senior shopping
schedule is: Wednesday, Win-
chester Mall, Rochester; Aug.
12, Oakland Mall, Troy; and
Sept. 9, Fairlane Mall,
Dearborn.

Anna Mickel has been ap-
pointed Medicare counselor
for the senior adult depart-
ment at the main Jewish
Community Center.
Beginning at 10 a.m. Mon-
day and on the first Monday
of the month thereafter, Mrs.
Mickel will be available in
the Allen Lounge to answer
Medicare related questions.
The service is free and open
to the public.
Scrabble and Boggle can be
played 10 a.m. to noon every
Monday in the Allen Lounge
in the main Jewish Center.
Refreshments are served.
Following luncheon, there is
a program. Everyone is in-
vited free of charge.

a.m. Monday in the Henry
and Delia Meyers Memorial
Library at the main Jewish
Center. The program is free

B.-Brenner
Beatrice Brenner, a ten-
year volunteer at Beaumont
Hospital, died June 28 at age
67.
Born in Detroit, Mrs. Bren-
ner was a member of Cong.
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses,
American Jewish Congress
and former board member of
the Great Lakes Yacht Club.
She leaves her husband,
Marshall I.; two sons,
Lawrence H. of Chapel Hill,
N.C., and Alan of North
Hollywood, Calif.; a daughter,
Barbara Wittenberg; her
mother, Mrs. Yetta Schreb-
nick; a brother, Jerome Awer-
buch; and three
grandchildren.
Sidney Seyburn
Sidney Seyburn, a design
engineer for Ford Motor Co.,
died June 29 at age 70.
Born in Toronto, Ont., Mr.
Seyburn was a member of
Temple Israel and its men's
club, and a former Scout-
master at the temple.
He leaves his wife, Shirley;
two sons, Lowell of Portage,
Mich., and Brian; a daughter,
Patricia of New York; a
brother, Harry Silverman of
Thronto; a sister, Mrs. Oscar
(Leah) Kahn; and three
grandchildren.
E. Mendelsohn
Esther Mendelsohn, a life
member of Hadassah, died
June 25 at age 81.
Born in Pottsville, Pa., Mrs.
Mendelsohn lived 73 years in
Detroit. She was a member of
Cong. Shaarey Zedek and a
life member of the Jewish
Home for Aged Auxiliary.
She leaves three sisters,
Emma Silverman, Bessie
Sholom and Mary Brader of
Tucson, Ariz.; and nieces and
nephews.
