Freedom Festival -
To Start Today

The 1987 International
Freedom Festival, scheduled
from today through July 12
will celebrate the peace and
friendship Detroit and
Windsor have enjoyed
throughout the years.
With more than 100 mostly
free events on both sides of
the Detroit River, the Inter-
national Freedom Festival is
expected to attract nearly
three million people during
its 24-day run.
The Freedom Festival
fireworks, a signature event
for the festival, are scheduled
for July 2, with an alternate
date of July 3.
