Mr. and Mrs. Abe (Jean)
Weiss, former Detroiters of
Woodland Hills, Calif., will
celebrate their 65th wedding
anniversary Thursday.
Their children are: Mr. and
Mrs. Max (Lil) Mills of
Lauderhill, Fla., Mr. and Mrs.
Leo (Mary Lou) Weiss of
Southfield, Dr. and Mrs. Sol
(Marcia) Weiss of Encino, Calif.,
and Mrs. Betty Grossman of
Southfield. The Weisses have
12 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren.
The senior Mrs. Weiss was a
member of the Jewish War
Veterans for more than 40
years.

"The Dilemma of South Af-
rican Jewry" will be the
theme of the upcoming meet-
ing of the Einstein Luncheon
Forum, it was announced by
Judges Ira G. Kaufman and
Benjamin Friedman, co-
chairmen of the forum.
The luncheon will be held
Tuesday at noon at South-
field Charley's. Guest speaker
will be Moira Katz, a faculty
member in the department of
speech communication at
Wayne State University.
Educated in South Africa,
Ms. Katz holds degrees from
the University of South Af-
rica, Pretoria, University of
Witwatersrand, Johannes-
burg, Trinity College of Lon-
don and Wayne State Uni-
versity. She is co-author of
Business Communication, a
text-book in communication
studies for business-school
students.

The Gornbeins were married
