Leo Goldner

The Friends of Bar-Ilan
University will hold their first
parlor meeting in Toledo on
Wednesday, hosted by Mr. and
Mrs. Leo Goldner. Goldner and
Rabbi Edward Garsek are co-
chairmen of the Toledo Friends.
The function will center around
scholarship funding.
Goldner has long been active
in the Toledo Jewish communi-
ty and is currently completing
his third year as chairman of
that city's Israel Bonds drive.
He is active in a wide variety
of communal activities and in
addition is considered an expert
in judo (he holds a sixth-degree
black belt), magic, gourmet
cooking and deep-sea fishing.
Rabbi Garsek, co-chairman,
has served for many years as
rabbi of Toledo's Cong. Etz
Chayim. Like Goldner, Rabbi
Garsek too has been involved in
many Jewish communal in-
stitutions and is a leading voice
for Jewish unity in that city.
