Nusbaum Chairs JARC
Event At The Theater
Barbara Nusbaum has
been named chairman of the
annual meeting and election
of the Jewish Association for
Retarded Citizens, which will
take place 7:30 p.m. June 23
at Groves High School Au-
ditorium.
The evening will feature
the internationally known
theater company, the Famous
People Players.
Based in Toronto, Ontario,
Famous People Players has
performed throughout
Canada, Bermuda, the
People's Republic of China
and throughout the United
States. In New York City the
company played a five-week
engagement at Radio City
Music Hall and a six-week
engagement on Broadway
last fall.
Famous People Players per-
form in the "backlight" tech-
nique, in which life size
fluorescent puppets and props
are manipulated under the il-
lumination of ultra violet
light. The company's reper-
toire features performances
choreographed to That's
Entertainment, Sheherazade,
and Star Wars.
Most noteworthy about the
company is its dedication to
the integration of develop-
