Dr. Lisa Jayne Watters and
Dr. Gregory Jay Saperstein
were married recently at Rodef
Shalom Congregation in Pitt-
sburgh,, Pa.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip L. Watters
of Lower Burrell, Pa. Parents of
the bridegroom are Dr. Harvey
Saperstein and Mrs. Murray
Schwartz, both of West
Bloomfield.
Dr. Lisa Nicely was the
matron of honor. Jean Scibilia
was the maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were: Brenda
Baker, Leslie Faye Trimble,
Kathy Lynn Watters and Dr.
Joan Brown.
The best men were the
bridegroom's brothers, Dr. Guy
Saperstein and Glenn Sapers-
tein. Ushers were John Wa-
ters, William Newman, Dr. Dov
Lisner and Neil Silver.
Other attendants were: Kel-
ly Kenyhercz and Karly
Kenyhercz, flower girls; and
Joshua Watters, ring bearer.
The new Mrs. Saperstein is a
graduate of Burrell High
School, Allegheny College and
Ohio College of Podiatric
Medicine in Cleveland. She is
a podiatry resident at
Youngstown (Ohio) Hospital
and Clinic.
Her husband is a graduate of
Southfield-Lathrup High
School, Michigan State Univer-
sity and Ohio College of
Podiatric Medicine, Cleveland.
He is a podiatry intern at
Youngstown (Ohio) Hospital
and Clinic.
Following a honeymoon in
Acapulco, the couple is residing
in Lower Burrell.

Lunch For SZ Hospital
The sixth annual scholarship
luncheon of the Detroit Friends
of Shaare Zedek Hospital in
Jerusalem will take place July
10 in the home of Dr. and Mrs.
Arnold Zuroff, 31455 Franklin
Fairway, Farmington Hills.
Mrs. Jack Shenkman is the
chairman and Judith Shamian,
a graduate of the Shaare Zedek
Hospital School of Nursing, will
be the guest speaker.
Mrs. Shamian is now the
Director of Nursing Research at
lbronto's Sunnybrook Medical
Center.
Through its Pearl Nosanchuk
Scholarship Fund, the Detroit
Friends were able to provide
complete scholarships for 26
students of the 1985
graduating class and so far 15
scholarships have been donated
to the class of 1988.

Tells Retirement
A reception to honor Ber-
nice Hollander, a teacher in
Southfield for 23 years, upon
her retirement will be held at
1 p.m. June 14 at Schoenhals
School, 16500 Lincoln, South-
field.
Mrs. Hollander is a kinder-
garten teacher at Schoenhals,
beginning when the school-
opened its doors in 1964.
