Nathan Gordon
Receives Honors
Nathan Gordon, former solo
violist of the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra, has been awarded
two honors by the state of
Michigan. The Senate and the
House of Representatives have
each issued a resolution citing
him for his artistic contribu-
tions to the culture of
Michigan, on the 25th anniver-
sary of his founding and con-
ducting the Dearborn Or-
chestra. The cities of Dearborn
and Dearborn Heights also
honored him.
Gordon will participate in the
International Viola Conference
in Ann Arbor in June, and in
the Congress of Strings at
Wayne State University in July
and August.
