been nurtured over the years,
and this is the next step."
This year's games will be a
type of pilot program, giving
organizers experience on which
to base decisions about future
games. In the next few years,
says Grossman, "we hope it
gets bigger and better."
Many members of the com-
munity have already donated
time and money to the games.
A portion of the cost has been
provided by a contribution to
the Hall of Fame in memory of
Manny Maizel, by his family.
During the awards ceremony,
the Manny Maizel Memorial
Trophy will be presented to the
outstanding athlete of the day.

Hitler more than 99 percent. If
Austria was raped, she welcom-
ed it and enjoyed it!
The attempt to gloss over the
true record, to which unfor-
tunately both church and state
have contributed, has now
climaxed in a solution which is
profoundly embarrassing to de-
cent people — whether of
Austrian nationality or
foreigners.
Austria's Chancellor Vranit-
sky was quoted in the
Washington Post story as refer-
ring to "some people" in the
United States who have
created an issue by criticizing
Waldheim. This, too, is an ef-
fort to move the issue away
from the central question. Are
the facts important, or only the
image — painfully tarnished
because "some people" (read:
World Jewish Congress)
brought up the issue?
What are the facts? That he
attempted to suppress an im-
portant part of his past is evi-
dent. That he lied repeatedly is
evident. That he was a
murderer has not been proven.
His consistently anti-Semitic
and anti-Israel stance in the
UN post is now clarified,
however.
So far, being caught as a liar
— even on a very important
matter — has not proved fatal
either to the President of
Austria or the President of the
United States. At least, not in
recent years.
