Rabbi Louis Bernstein will be
guest speaker at the 28th an-
nual dinner of the Young Israel
of Greenfield. Rabbi Bernstein
is the only rabbi who has twice
been president of the Rab-
binical Council of America, and
at present is honorary presi-
dent of the RCA.
He is also chairman of the
-board of Religious Zionists of
America, a member of the
World Zionist Organization and
a member of the board of the
Jewish Agency.
Rabbi Bernstein writes fre-
quently for the Jerusalem Post
and the Israeli press, and is at
present an associate professor
of Judaic studies at Yeshiva
University and rabbi at the
Young Israel of Windsor Park in
Bayside, N.Y.
Cocktails will begin at 6 p.m.
and dinner at 7 p.m. Reserva-
tions may be made by contac-
ting the Young Israel office,
Monday through Thursday,

The Seymour and Martha
Goldman Bais Chabad (former-
ly Bais Chabad of Farmington
Hills) will have its fourth an-
nual dinner at 6 p.m. June 14
at the Southfield Hilton.
The dinner will be addressed
by Prof. Yitzchok Levine, a
member of the department of
pure and applied mathematics
at Stevens Institute of
Technology in New Jersey.
Dr. Levine received a B.S.
degree in mathematics from
Rensselaer Polytechnic In-
stitute and pursued graduate
studies at the University of
Maryland. He received his
Ph.D. degree in 1968 and join-
ed the Stevens Institute facul-
ty that year.
Dr. Levine is the Hillel Foun-
dation faculty adviser at the
institute.

Oak-Woods
Installs Officers

The following were recently
installed to lead the Young
Israel of Oak-Woods for the year
1987-1988: Larry Horowitz,
president; Myer Mandelbaum,
first vice president; Dr. Larry
Brown, second vice president
and gabbai; Hyman Brown,
third vice president; Nathan
Butrimovitz, financial
secretary; Manuel Levitsky,
treasurer; Fayga Dombey, recor-
ding secretary; and David Tanz-
man, chairman of the board.

for the term expiring in 1990:
