Israel Bond Telethon
Aimed At Reinvestment

Members of the Metro De-
troit Israel Bonds Women's
Division and New Leadership
Division will hold an ad-
vanced reinvestment telethon
from 7 to 9:30 p.m., June 25
at the main United Hebrew
Schools building.
The local telethon volun-
teers, led by Dottie Wagner,
reinvestment chairman, will
join thousands of other lay
volunteers nationwide in
reaching the holders of Israel
Bonds purchased during the
Yom Kippur War year of
1973.
A record-setting one mil-
lion U.S. families purchased
Israel Bonds that year to help
Israel reconstruct its
economy. Emergency appeals
were held in virtually every
synagogue throughout the
country; more than $400 mil-
lion in Bonds were sold.
In addition to the forthcom-
ing telethon, information re-
garding the early reinvest-
ment opportunity is being
distributed through letters,
flyers, brochures and lay-

patron-sponsored newspaper
advertisements.

Host Families
Sought For Visitors

The Nacel Cultural Ex-
changes are seeking host
families for French and
Spanish exchange students
who will be in Michigan July
1-29.
The visiting students speak
English and are supplied
with pocket money and
transportation fees and in-
surance by their families.
The program matches host
families with students accord-
ing to general interest and
specific activities they would
like to share with their
guests, such as sports, water
activities, computers and
music.
