Steak House on 14 Mile Rd.
east of I-75 and Oakland Mall.
The Ricky Dee Show with
Louie Marr Quartet and Loving
Cup Trio brought people from
everywhere . . . meeting others
they hadn't seen in many years
. . . 12th Street, Linwood, Dex-
ter and on to the suburbs of to-
day . . . Edith and Bernie Hoff-
man, daughter Shelly and hub-
by Al Steinberg, Ricky's
brother Harvey, both sons of the
late Solly Drapkin, Morrie
Millman, Bert Gladstone,
Frank Selman, Buddy Slafkin,
Max Rubin, Marvin Raskin, Vi
List, Diana Pink, Leah Baum,
Saul Horowitz, Shirley and Ray
Abrams, etc., etc., etc.
Char, hostess of the ABC-TV
show shown here last Saturday,
—"The Extra Sensory World of
Char" . . . with mother Ida
Margolis . . . Also Ida's other
daughter, Alicia, and grand-
daughter Ronna.
So many more people .. .
The Louie Marr Quartet
opened the show with
bossanova beat of Quiet Nights
. . . and into Satin Doll, Misty,
etc. . . . nice and easy music
that people could relate to .. .
Then came Ricky singing eight
songs in the first segment,
backed by Louie Marr Quartet
. . . The Loving Cup Trio with
Marlene Hill followed . . . and
Ricky Dee returned with the
Louie Marr group . . . as though
he had caught his second wind
with five additional songs in a
stronger and much more
tuneful voice.
Naturally Edith singing her

I Can't Give You Anything But
Love as she looked at hubby

Bernie of 48 years last
February . . . and of course they
danced . . . as Edith ignored the
cane she walks with and
whooped it up on the floor .. .
"I walk with a limp," said
Edith, "but sure don't dance
with one."
BBC Steak House has
become a hot spot for folks to go
. . . enjoying dining, dancing
and meeting old friends.
I had a delicious piece of
Orange Roughy . . . served by
waitress Sherry Golden, very
efficient, personable and fast
. . . In fact, all the waitresses
started off wearing high heels,
but as the crowd grew, off many
came and into the gym shoes
. . . Wasn't easy racing around
the bevy of people and tables.
The continuous music and
packed house brought back
memories.
GOOD WAITRESS DEPT
. Rada Cherni . . . at Top Hat
Supper Club in Windsor .. .
like a "little mother" taking
care of people sitting in her sta-
tion . . . So efficient and caring.
REASON WHY Rodo's
Restaurant in Farrell's Shopp-
ing Plaza on Southfield and
12 1/4 Mile is gaining such
popularity is the home cooking
and customer concern ... Next
time there, eat the homemade
