Muisic Study Club of
Metropolitan Detroit will hold
its annual luncheon and in-
stallation noon June 9 at the
Birmingham Temple.
A musical program will
feature Michael Stockdale,
classical guitarist, and the
Music Study Club Choral
Group directed by Treva De-
Jong and accompanied by Jac-
quelyne Wagoner.
Stockdale is a graduate of the
Royal College of Music, London,
England, and has given
numerous recitals and BBC
Radio performances in the
United Kingdom.
In addition to solo perfor-
mances, he is working with
WJBK Channel 2, and also
presents "An Introduction to
Guitar" for young audiences of
Michigan. He is a member of
the Lyric Chamber Ensemble.
Ann Ross is chairperson of
the choral group, which per-
forms at nursing homes, for
senior citizens, service
organizations and other com-
munity functions.
Corliss Rosenberg is the
outgoing president. Joan
Linden will be chairman of the
day. Betty Howard will be in-
stalling officer.

JVV-V, Auxiliary
To Convene Here

The 46th annual state con-
vention of the Jewish War
Veterans and the Ladies
Auxiliary will take place
June 12 - 14 at the Southfield
Hilton.
A total of 25 scholarships
will be distributed to children
of veterans at 7:30 p.m. June
12. Representatives of all
veteran groups are invited.
Sabbath morning services
will be conducted June 13 by
Rabbi David Nelson at Cong.
Beth Shalom. There will be a
banquet in the evening in
honor of outgoing State
Commander Iry Keller and
state president of the Ladies
Auxiliary Elaine Levy.
Dinner and dancing will fol-
low.
Memorial services for the
deceased will be conducted by
the Ladies Auxiliary June 14,
followed by brunch. The state
convention will elect officers
to the Michigan state de-
partment and the Ladies
Auxiliary for 1987-1988.
Chairmen are Jack Berman
and Jack Swartz, JWV, and
Jay Katz and Jay Schwartz,
Ladies Auxiliary.

PNAI Convention
Deadline Nears

Parents of North American
Israelis, Inc., is still taking
registration for its 1987 con-
vention, slated for Sept. 14-18
in Israel.
The convention will include
seminars, special events,
entertainment and more.
Cost includes round-trip air
fare from New York aboard
El Al Airlines, four nights at
a deluxe hotel, four break-
fasts, four luncheons, two
dinners and a cocktail party.
Registration deadline is
Monday. Detroiter Harmon
Bayer is chairman of the
convention. For details, call
