Memorial Scholarship is
awarded to students at
Wayne State University who
have joined the B'nai B'rith
Hillel Foundation.
The scholarship was do-
nated by Morry Direnfeld in
memory of his wife, who had
been active in B'nai B'rith
and other community ven-
tures.
The scholarship is awarded
on the basis of the candi-
date's service to the Jewish
community, need and aca-

Student Honored

Ira Finkelstein, a senior at
the University of Michigan
majoring in chemistry and
chemical engineering, has
been awarded the Charles
Sabat Award for 1987. The
award is presented annually
to an undergraduate student
excelling in biochemistry,
biophysical chemistry or
biophysics. Finkelstein is the
son of Jack and Paula Fin-
kelstein of Southfield.
