The note, according to U.S. of- ficials, restated the PLO's readiness to participate at an international con- ference on the Arab-Israeli conflict which would include the participation of the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council. The note also said the PLO would be will- ing to attend the conference on the basis of UN Security Council Resolu- tions 242 and 338 provided that all other UN General Assembly resolu- tions on the Palestinian question were also cited. Rabbi Irving "Yitz" Greenberg told a Detroit audience last week that the non-Orthodox should make con- tributions to "responsible Orthodox elements" and cut-off extremist fac- tions. Financially isolating all fun- damentalists in Judaism, he said, would lead to renewed dialogues and understanding between the Jewish denominations.
