Sosin To Direct YAD
Tour Of Jewish Detroit

Humorist Max Sosin will
lead members of the Jewish
Welfare Federation's Young
Adult Division on a tour of
Jewish Detroit on June 7.
The group will gather in
front of the Fleischman Resi-
dence on the Jewish Commu-
nity Campus at 11 a.m., be-
fore entering a path through
local Jewish history.
YAD members will see the
city's old Jewish neighbor-
hoods and synagogues, former
Jewish Community Center
branches and "Jewish" high
schools like Central and
Mumford. Other highlights
include buildings designed by
Albert Kahn, a leading
Jewish architect in the early
industrial age.
As a raconteur, Sosin has
devoted many volunteer
hours to entertaining resi-
dents of the Jewish Home for
Aged, and other groups and
organizations in the Metro
Detroit area.
Sosin has been active in
the Allied Jewish Campaign

and serves on the boards of
Resettlement Service and
State of Israel Bonds.
Susan Alterman is chair-
man of the event. Matthew
Arbit, Marsha L. Girson and

Dr. Mark Rosner are co-
chairmen, and Lynn Tarnoff
is adviser.

New York (JTA) — To the

rooftop fiddler, the Tradition
Time weekly radio program of

debuted this month on 21 sta-
tions across the country.

venture of the new American
Jewish Radio Network based in
Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and is
