Sharon Hart was elected
president of the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation Women's Di-
vision at its 41st annual
meeting.
Active in the division for
many years, Hart has served
as vice president and Cam-
paign chairman. In addition
to her many other communal
involvements, she is a
member of Federation's
Board of Governors, vice
president of Jewish Family
Service and associate chair-
man of the Jewish Commu-
nity Council's Soviet Jewry
Committee. She is vice
president of Hillel Day School
and a recipient of the Sylvia
Simon Greenberg Award for
outstanding young leader-
ship.
Hart is a member of the
United Jewish Appeal's na-
tional women's division board
and national Campaign
committee. A Wechsner Heri-
tage Foundation Scholar, she
is a past president of the
Michigan Region-Women's
American ORT and American
Women for Bar-Ilan Univer-
sity.
Other officers elected for
the year include: Doreen
Hermelin, Marian Kantor,
Linda Lee and Edie Mittent-
hal, vice presidents; Marjorie
Krasnick and Jan Hauser,
secretaries; and Dolores
Farber and Linda Klein,
designates to Federation's
Board of Governors.
Elected to the board of di-
rectors for an additional
three-year term were: Ellen
Bean, Penny Blumenstein,
