B'nai B'rith
Has Tiger Night

More than 1,200 B'nai
B'rith members in the Met-
ropolitan Detroit Council,
B'nai B'rith Women, B.B.Y.O.
and Hillel, as well as mem-
bers and their families from
Flint and Lansing, will
attend B'nai B'rith Night at
Tiger Stadium on June 24.
The Tigers will play the To-
ronto Blue Jays.
Council President Peter A.
Perlman will throw out the
ceremonial first pitch. Cantor
Harold Orbach of Temple Is-
rael will sing the National.
Anthem. Upper and lower
deck reserved seats are
available through the B'nai
B'rith office.
As a community service,
B'nai B'rith will bring to the
game, as its guests, children
referred by the Jewish Fam-
ily Service.
For tickets, call the B'nai
B'rith Council office, 552-
8177. There is a charge.
Round-trip bus service will
also be available at an addi-
tional charge. Buses will
leave the Southfield Civic
Center at 6 p.m. Only per-
sons who have made advance
reservations will be permit-
ted on the buses.

BB Hillel Golf
Classic Nears

The B'nai B'rith Hillel Golf
Classic V will be held this
year at Wabeek Country
Club on June 23.
Ralph Miller will serve as
chairman of the day-long
event which raises funds for
the B'nai B'rith Youth and
Service programs in Michi-
gan. As in the past, proceeds
will go directly to the Hillel
Foundations at Wayne State
University, the University of
Michigan, Michigan State
University and the Hillel
Counselorship at Western
Michigan University. The
local B'nai B'rith Youth
Organization also will be a
recipient.
Open to all, the B'nai
B'rith Golf Classic will only
be able to accommodate reg-
istered players. Tee-off time
is at 12:30 p.m. with a shot-
gun start. Each golf ticket
entitles the participant to:
valet parking, all of the coun-
try club facilities, range
balls, the 18 holes of golf pre-
ceded by a buffet luncheon.
There will be a cocktail re-
ception and banquet in the
evening.
