Holocaust Recalled In Agam Windows New York — Working models of the first stained- glass windows to commemo- rate the Holocaust were re- cently unveiled in New York by Yaacov Agam, Israel's premier artist. A total of 14 stained-glass windows were especially designed for Emunah Women's Holocaust Study Center in Jerusalem by Agam, whose paintings and sculptures are found in almost every major museum in the world. The Agam Windows will eventually illuminate the au- ditorium of the center, housed in the Emunah Com- munity College Complex. The Agam Windows have been donated by the artist to Emunah, a volunteer organ- ization of 120,000 women worldwide dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in Israel. Emunah's Jossi Be- rger Holocaust Study Center is a project that will per- petuate the lessons of the Holocaust among Israel's younger generation. Aside from being one of the most outstanding contempor- ary artistsand a pioneer in the kinetic movement, Agam is also active in . the field of visual education and has written a series of books on visual language.
