BAG A SUBSCRIPTION Israel Bombs Terrorist Base In Lebanon Aviv (JTA) — Israel Air Force planes bombed a ter- rorist base near the Mia Mia refugee camp south of Sidon in Lebanon last week. A military spokesman said the targets were headquarters buildings where raids on Israel were planned and launched. Meanwhile, in a develop- ment at the United Nations, Lebanon claimed that the situation in south Lebanon is "explosive" and charged that Israel "is likely, at any time, to launch a major military at- tack" north of the security zone it maintains inside Lebanese territory. The war- ning was issued in a letter from Lebanese Ambassador to the UN Rachid Fakhoury to Secretary General Javier Perez de Cuellar. The Lebanese Ambassador did not request the convening of the Security Council to discuss the situation. Tbnsion on the Israeli-Lebanese border, observers here noted, has increased recently follow- ing violent confrontations between terrorists trying to infiltrate Israel and Israel Defense Forces in the region. Israel Child Doing Well After Transplant London (JTA) — Moran Kadosh, a four-year-old Israeli girl, was in serious but stable condition last week in a Cam- bridge, England, hospital after receiving a liver trans- plant. Kadash's case has attracted nation-wide attention here since passengers on her El Al flight from 'Ibl Aviv to Lon- don spontaneously collected 45,000 Pounds Sterling on hearing that she and her mother were among them. The 450 tourists, who had just celebrated Passover and Easter in the Holy Land, in- cluded leading members of Britain's Jewish community active in fund-raising. Kadash's mother, lbva, 28, had brought her hurriedly to Ben Gurion Airport on hear- ing that the British hospital might be able to save her life by giving her a new liver.
