It's intimate and cozy ... with stained glass, pictures, stucco walls, flecked tablec- loths with plexiglass tops, red padded booths and seating for 115 to dine and another 26 at a bar area. Santuci and Carol took a former Mexican eatery, cleaned it up, closed for three months to remodel ... and opened as an Italian restaur- ant with people waiting. Even his 81-year-old mother, Antoinette De Guili, comes in three days a week to make sauces, some of the pastas ... and old-world dis- hes that can't be gotten at too many other places. Nothing at Cafe Antoine's is processed ... all sauces homemade ... veal dishes to order ... and pastas are made right there ... both machine and cut by hand.
