Cong. Beth Abraham Hillel
Moses has appointed Joyce
Epstein as nursery school di-
rector beginning in January.
She graduated from the
University of Michigan with
a B.A. degree in elementary
education and an additional
endorsement in early child-
hood development. Her 17
years experience in preschool
includes work at the Towsley
School in Ann Arbor, the
.Jewish Community Center
and the Adat Shalom Nur-
sery School. She has taught
both regular and enrichment
classes as well as mother-
toddler.
Epstein is also a profes-
sional storyteller who dis-
guises herself as Jelly the
Clown or Raggedy Ann, and
entertains at chidren's par-
ties and holiday programs.

Sinai Hospital, will sponsor
the tenth annual "Chai"
Long-Distance Run on May
17.
This is a non-competitive
event, strictly for exercise
and pleasure, and runners of
all levels and ages are in-
vited to participate on
courses of varying distances.
Walkers are also welcome.
All courses will begin and
end at the Center in West
Bloomfield. The one-mile run
will begin at 8 a.m.; all other
runs will start at 8:30 a.m.
Long sleeve shirts will be
given to all entrants and
prizes will be awarded for all
distances completed. Re-
freshments will be served at
the finish line and water sta-
tions will be set up along the
courses. Locker room
facilities will also be avail-
able.
There is an entry fee.
