Katerina Gagkayev,
daughter of Nataly and Ale-
xander Gagkayev,lives with
her parents in Moscow. They
have a relative, Alexander
Axelrod, living in Rishon
LeZion, Israel. ,
The Gagkayevs applied to
leave the Soviet Union in
1978 and Alexander, an ar-
chitect, was fired from his job
and has been unable to find
employment since. No reason
was given for the refusal of
the family to emigrate to Is-
rael.

vance of their b'not mitzvah
at Temple Israel at 8 p.m.
today with Zhanna
Dragobetsky, the daughter of
Arkady and Ira Dragobetsky,
of Chernovtsy in the Soviet
Ukraine.
The Dragobetsky family
has sought exit visas since
1976, but has been refused
because of Dragobetsky's
army service. This is consid-
ered a pretext, however, since
his army work was in the
area of construction, having
nothing to do with military
secrets.
The family wishes to settle
in Israel with Dragobetsky's
parents who currently reside
in Akko. Mrs. Dragobetsky
suffered a brain concussion
and broken leg in a car acci-
dent, and is partially dis-
abled.

of Leningrad, USSR at the
Troy Jewish Congregation, 10
a.m. Saturday.
Yisrael is the son of Lev
and Lea Shapiro, and has a
sister named Naomi. The
Shapiros have applied for an
exit visa since 1977, but have
been repeatedly refused.
Michael and his mother
have had telephone contact
with the Shapiros.
