MOD TECH FURNITURE, INC. nn JELS Offering School Loans Jewish Educational Loan Service is now accepting ap- plications for the academic year 1987-1988. JELS is a community endeavor by a group of philanthropic and private service organizations who pool their funds to provide interest-free educational loans to students in the Jewish community. JELS is coordinated by the Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit and administered through Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) and Hebrew Free Loan Association. Finding the financial re- sources necessary to pursue higher education is often a confusing and difficult under- taking. JVS, through its comprehensive resource net- work, can provide assistance and counseling to students and their parents. The educational loan coor- dinator at JVS guides stu- dents to sources of financial aid which may be available to them from schools, the government and the general community. To be eligible for a loan from JELS, the applicant must be a Jewish resident of metropolitan Detroit. For in- - formation, contact Edwina Davis, JELS coordinator, 559-5000.
