Hospice Benefit
In Southfield
New York designer fash-
ions by Jacobson's of Bir-
mingham will be featured in
"Creations '87," a luncheon
and fashion show to be held
April 29 at Southfield Manor,
25626 Telegraph, Southfield.
Sponsored by the Hospice
Foundation of Southeastern
Michigan to benefit the hos-
pice, the festivities will begin
with cocktails at 11 a.m.,
with luncheon at noon, fol-
lowed by the show at 1:30
p.m.
Proceeds over expenses will
help fund a new facility for
the Hospice of Southeastern
Michigan, which is presently
quartered at 22401 Foster
Winter Dr., Southfield, and
accommodates 28 beds.
The goal is a separate
building that will provide a
suitable environment for a
larger number of terminal
patients to live out their lives
in as normal a fashion as
possible, both at the hospice
and at home with hospice
care.

be shown. It is free, and there
is no registration. On April
22, at 2:30 p.m. the movie,
The Neverending Story will
be screened. There will be a
kite workshop at 2:30 p.m.
April 23. Adults are invited
to accompany their school-age
children. Children and adults
must preregister for this free

Funds For Artists
"A Night in the Big Apple" is
the theme for this year's Arts
Cotillion, a ball being held to
raise funds for scholarships for
young artists.
The cotillion will be held, 9
p.m. April 25, at the Michigan
Inn in Southfield.
Performers will include Phil
Marcus Esser, jazz pianist Bess
Bonnier and vocalist Barbara
Bredius. Dance music will be
provided by the Executives, a
17-piece big band featuring
vocalist Priscilla Benson.
