Minister Shimon Peres said
on Israel Radio last week that
the government was still pre-
paring material requested by
U.S. investigators in Wash-
ington on Israel's role in sales
of U.S. arms to Iran.
He was responding to
charges by Sen. Daniel In-
ouye (D. Hawaii) that Israel
had not yet kept its promise
to hand over to his investi-
gating committee its version
of the events.
Peres said that Israel
wanted to ensure that the
material was completely ac-
curate, and added that it was
being re-checked.
The U.S. Congress is re-
ported to have sent a special
investigator to Copenhagen
to check with the Danish
Seamens Union reports of
arms shipments from Israel
to Iran. According to Danish
news agencies, Israel tried to
exert pressure on the U.S. to
disregard statements from
the union claiming that
Danish ships had ferried
arms, in specially built com-
partments, from Eilat to the
Iranian port of Bander
Abbas.

Racism Charges
Dropped
Toronto (JTA) — A con-
troversial junior high school
teacher in Moncton, New
Brunswick, has been cleared
by the school board of allega-
tions that he spread racist,
anti-Semitic views in the
classroom.
But the teacher, Malcolm
Ross, is still under investiga-
tion by the Royal Canadian
Mounted Police as to whether
three books he has written
are in breach of Canada's
anti-hate laws. In them, he
claims the Holocaust didn't
happen and than an interna-
tional Jewish conspiracy is
afoot.
