MAIN Royal Oak, MI j WISHING YOU A KOSHER & HAPPY PESACH CAUTION! BEFORE YOU SIT DOWN TO THE SEDER THIS YEAR, BE SURE TO ASK THE "FIFTH QUESTION"... WHAT TIME IS IT? Because Daylight Savings Time came early this year, nightfall is not until 8:50 p.m. in the Detroit area. Making kiddush, drinking the four cups of wine and, especially, eating Matzo, must begin after that time! Many of us celebrate the seder in a "family dinner" atmosphere. That is wonderful; the seder is indeed a warm Jewish gathering for the entire family. But we all share the sincere desire to properly and correctly observe the unique mitzvot of that special night. So we will have to be liberal in our definition of "Dinner Time"; one who eats the matzo, morror, wine, etc. at 6 p.m. or 7 p.m. might just as well be doing so a week before Passover; it simply isn't Pesach yet at that time!
