Peres Quizzed
By Arab World

Tel Aviv (JTA) — Utilizing
an international wireless
telephone hook-up via West
Germany, Foreign Minister
Shimon Peres answered ques-
tions from callers in the Arab
world for a half hour March
26. Most of the questions re-
lated to Middle East peace.
The telephone exchange
was arranged by the Arabic
service of the state-owned Is-
rael Radio in cooperation
with a radio station in Bonn.
Except for callers from Egypt,
who used the newly installed
direct-dialing, questions and
answers were relayed
through Bonn. Peres heard
simultaneous translations
and replied in English, which
was translated into Arabic.
Calls from Syria, during a
practice run March 25, were
cut off abruptly and there
were no Syrian calls March
26. But there were calls from
Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and
the West Bank. Peres was
asked about an international
conference for Middle East
peace, the peace process with
Egypt and the situation be-
tween Israel and Syria since
Syrian armed forces occupied
West Beirut earlier this
month.

NOT EVERYONE WANTS
AN AVANTI.
THAT'S WHY YOU DO.

Most people want what everyone else wants. But you're not
most people. You prefer the automobile that only 399 other
individuals will own this year. The hand-built American-made
Avanti. With the most original design of any luxury sports coupe.
And the easiest to maintain engine—a powerful GM 305 cu. in. V8.
So why be one-of-the-crowd in a Mercedes, Jag or Porsche?
For about the same price you can be one-of-a-kind in an Avanti.

Sweet Revenge

Los Angeles (JTA) — The
only way to avenge the
deaths of the Jewish
Holocaust victims is "to re-
store their lost Jewish world
and perpetuate their values
and religious beliefs," the
president of Agudath Israel of
America said.
Speaking at the recent sec-
ond annual dinner of
Agudath Israel of Califopnia,
Rabbi Moshe Sherer -6rged
the Orthodox Jewish commu-
nity to vigilantly spread the
study of Torah "until every
Jew is God-loving and God-
living ... Achieving this goal
will not only keep the mem-
ory of the Holocaust alive but
will be the 'sweet revenge' for
which the martyrs prayed."
