Meeting participants will see a film and learn about the experiences of the seven Detroiters now in Israel — Eric Berman, Mathew May, Scott Mittleman, Suzanne Nussbaum, Beth Philips, Mike Reiter and Jonathan Ross. Space for the program is limited. The new program starts with a national orientation, Aug. 21-25 in New York. From there, the Jewish Wel- fare Federation hopes to send 15 Michigan students to Is- rael, Aug. 26. Project Otzma, the Jewish Service Corps, provides par- ticipants with an opportunity to learn first-hand about Is- rael's history, language, cul- ture and lifestyle.
