Eileen Clark

Soprano Eileen Clark will
present An Evening of Song"
on Thursday at 7 p.m. in
Wayne State University's
General Lectures Au-
ditorium.
In addition to compositions
by Mozart, Casella, Barab,
Roussel and Faure, Clark
will also perform jazz
standards and original pop
tunes. The concert is open to
the public, and admission is
free.
Clark has performed
throughout Michigan for 12
years with The Clark Family
Players and more currently
as lead vocalist of the Smil-
ing Faces band. She does
jingles and voice-overs for
T.V. and radio commercials.
Clark will complete her
Bachelor of Music degree in
vocal performance at Wayne
State University in May.

Israeli Dancing
Concert Feature

Hora Aviv — Hora of
Summer — an Israeli
folkdance troupe, will present
a multi-faceted dance concert
on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the
main Jewish Community
Center.
Established in 1977 as
Galai HaRuach under the di-
rection of the late Rachel
Jacobs, the troupe has ap-
peared before audiences in
Michigan and the region. It
won first place at an interna-
tional folkdance festival in
Michigan, has performed in
two national folkdance festi-
vals and has been invited to
perform in Spain.
The group is composed of
men and women. Members of
the Hora Aviv dance group
are: Belle Greenbaum, Fay
Knoll, Eli Shalom, Shelly
Komer Jackier, Ivri Chen, Eli
Gortler, Judy Appel, Barbara
Silberschein, Avigail Posner,
Maxim Abitan, Amnon
Steiner, Linda and Shlomo
Rabinowitze. The group is
currently under the direction
of Lori Lapides.
The concert is part of the
Celebrations of the Arts is
co-sponsored by the Michigan
Council for the Arts.
