contest for the best costume
... held at the Jewish Com-
munity Center on Woodward
... He won first prize as
King Ahasvereus, with cus-
tom made by Bill.
Thirty-three years later in
1987, with some changes that
Bill made for their 7-year-old
daughter Emily, she won first
prize at the 1987 Purim car-
nival of Temple Kol Ami.

Kosin's Clothes' corporate
offices in Oak Park.

up their home) ... and
Maurey is in Vegas ... He is
executive producer of a
Jewish radio show on which
Cantor Simon Bergman of
Las Vegas' Temple Beth
Shalom is host and program
director ... It is the area's
only Jewish radio program
. . . Maurey and Cantor
Bergman donate their serv-
ices ... and proceeds are
given to local charities.
NICK SIAGKRIS and
Nina Miller, co-owners of
Rumors Salon on Orchard
Lake Rd. in West Bloomfield
Plaza, were among the 65,000
hairdressers in New York
City recently for three-day
International Beauty Show.
While there, Nick and
Nina went to see cafe society
pianist, singer and Gershwin
historian Michael Feinstein,
at the Hotel Algonquin ...
Highlight of the evening
came when Liza Minnelli
joined Michael for his I Love

A Violin . . . closing number.

Kansas City Jewish Chronicle

... "She was not quite 4 and
rushed home from the
synagogue nursery school one
day this week all excited.
`Mommy, Mommy,' she
shouted, 'we're going to have
a Purim costume party at
school and I want to dress up
like a queen.' Wonderful,'
her accommodating mother
declared. 'Which queen do
you want to be?' The child
thought for a moment and
then announced, 'The Dairy
Queen!' "
