"Israel's Water Problem"
will be discussed by Dr.
Menahem Rebhun at the
American Technion Society,
Detroit Chapter, meeting to
be held at the United Hebrew
Schools, on Wednesday at
7:45 p.m.
The program chairman will
be Edwin G. Siegel, a con-
sulting mechanical engineer.
Dr. Rebhun is professor of
the Technion-Israel Institute
of Technology, division of
environmental and water re-
sources engineering.
He has published 76 arti-
cles in scientific and
engineering periodicals and
journals dealing with his re-
search in water quality man-
agement and treatment, ad-
vanced wastewater treatment
processes and the renovation
and reuse for agriculture and
industry.
He has been involved in
the engineering, besides the
developments in Israel of
water treatment projects in
Brazil, Ecuador, Ghana,
Nigeria and Turkey. He is an
executive board member,
Technion Research and De-
velopment Foundation. Dr.
Rebhun received his educa-
tion at the Technion and the
University of California. Cur-
rently he is visiting professor
at Virginia Polytechnic Insti-
tute.
The public is invited. There
is no charge.
