One of the division's new community outreach pro- grams, Food for Thought fea- tures a speaker or workshop on current issues affecting the Jewish community. This month's speaker, Sonia Syme, will speak on "Bio-Medical Ethics: Judaism Responds to New Scientific Discoveries." Syme is head of religion and education for the Temple Israel Sisterhood and a 12th grade teacher in the temple's religious school. A teacher of Responsa (rabbinic answers to modern problems), Syme focuses on Jewish medical ethics in her course at the Midrasha, College of Jewish Studies. Annie Cohen is chairman of the Food for Thought series: Nancy Glass is associ- ate chairman; and Fran Hack is luncheon chairman.
