Israeli Woman Subject
OF Midrasha Lecture

The second lecture in the
Midrasha Spring Community
Forum Series will be held on
Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the
LaMed Auditorium of the
Sigmund and Sophie Rohlik
Building of the United- He-
brew Schools.
The focus for this year's
lectures is "The Israeli Land-
scape — Conflict and Confu-
sion." The lecture will be
given by Dr. Ilsa Schuster on
"Israeli Women in Social
Change: Forwards or Back-
wards."
In Israel, Dr. Schuster
taught anthropology at the
University of Haifa and was
a research fellow of the Af-
rica Unit of Truman Institte
- of the Hebrew University - of
Jerusalem. In Israel she has
conducted anthropological re-
search on kibbutz women and
on Arab village women. Now
a columnist for KIDMA, the
