lel Aviv (JTA) — Two ter-
rorists were killed in a clash
with an Israel Defense Force
patrol near Hasbaya in the
south Lebanon security zone
last weekend. There were no
IDF casualities.
In other incidents, two
Israeli soldiers were injured
when a land mine exploded
under their vehicle east of
Bint-Jbail in the security
zone. Israel Air Force planes
fired 10 missiles at two
buildings used by the Pal-
estine Liberation Organiza-
tion, destroying the build-
ings.
A Katyusha rocket hit
northern Galilee. Nine people
were treated for shock.
Military observers sug-
gested that renewed terrorist
activity in south Lebanon is
the result of the entry of
Syrian forces into West
Beirut. Palestinian terrorists,
no longer fighting rival
Lebanese militias, are free to
move south to attack Israeli
positions, the observers said.
Argentina,
Israel Sign
Science Accord
Aviv (JTA) — Israel and
Argentina signed memoran-
dum of understanding for
scientific and technological
cooperation during the visit
here last week of the Argen-
tine Minister of Labor and
Energy, Dr. Pedro Agustin
Trucco. He is the guest of
Moshe Shahal, Israel's Mini-
ster of Energy and Infra-
structure.
The agreement includes
close cooperation in the
development of alternative
energy source. Trucco said in
his discussions with Shahal
that Argentina is particularly
interested in Israel's know-
how in the fields of solar
energy, water desalination
and irrigation.
