waist. Just as popular are
oversized pink and white stripe
cotton overalls worn with the cuff
rolled up to mid-calf. For a
finished look, wear a ribbed
cotton tank top or an oversized
T-shirt or camp shirt, and bright
colored, studded anklet socks.
Sophisticated glitz continues to
be popular for girls. This is
especially true for swim wear
sizes 4 - 6x. "Most suits have a
high cut leg, low back and
matching, padded shoulder,
cover-up T-shirts," said New
Generations' manager, Nancy
Fink.
These sophisticated bathing
suits are not your average camp
suit, but more suitable for cruise
or club. Knockout suits for four
year olds? Yes. There's a white
suit with high cut leg, whose gold
and black sequined fish swims
and glitters on the suit's front. Or,
the purple and silver dotted suit
whose two silver bows decorate
its low cut back. A matching silver
sun visor and silver sandals with
bows completes this
glitz-in-the-sun look.
Studs are still part of the
hand-made look, along with hand
painted designs and applique in a
variety of materials. The more
materials, patterns and studs, the
better. New Generations shows a
charming one-of-a-kind, cotton
T-shirt dress that boasts a denim
applique with colorful studs.
Tie die is back in vibrant blue,
yellow and pink pastel cotton
shirts, shorts and skinny pants.
Fink suggested mixing and
matching the tie die pieces.
"Wear a hot pink shirt over light
blue shorts. Add yellow socks for
a really fun look."
Watch for animal prints, an
offshoot of the Flintstone rage, in
shirts, shorts and bathing suits.
Jennifer will really be a Pebbles
look alike in New Generations'
one shoulder, leopard-print
bathing suit with matching
oversized T-shirt cover up.
For pre-teen girls, faded
oversized comfort comes
