Pamela Sue Bluestone and
Michael Ira Dangovian were
married recently at Temple
Israel. Rabbi Harold Loss and
Cantor Harold Orbach of-
ficiated.
The bride, Pamela Blues-
tone, is the daughter of Mrs.
Eileen Silber of Southfield
and the late Mr. Sydney
Bluestone. Parents of the
bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Dangovian of Novi.
Matron of honor was
Michelle Marsch, sister of the
bride. Bridesmaids were Ina
Bornstein, Melissa Kalman,
Barbara Madgy, Wendy

Nichamin and Diane Garton.
The best man was David
Dangovian, brother of the
bridegroom. Ushers were Neil
Bluestone, Keith Bornstein,
Steve Marsch, Paul Nager,
Ronnie Miller, David Madgy,
Howard Kaplan and Charles
Morof.
Other attendants were
grandmothers Helen Blues-
tone and Tillie Gardner.
Following a Knollwood
County Club dinner, the
couple honeymooned in
Montreal and Quebec City,
Canada. The couple is resid-
ing in Southfield.

Industrial Homework Hit

Responding to proposed
changes in Federal labor
regulations, the Jewish
Community Council, repre-
senting 300 affiliate organ-
izations, has reaffirmed its
opposition to industrial
homework.
Norma Shifrin, chairman of
the Jewish Labor Committee,
Michigan division, a Council
member organization, has
also communicated her
group's position in opposition
to at-home work.
The practice of permitting
employees in certain indus-
tries to perform work such as
garment manufacture at
home has long been con-
demned by organized labor
and the Jewish community
relations field. Without pro-
tections against unsafe condi-
tions and substandard wages,
at-home workers have often
suffered exploitation by em-
ployers. For this reason,

industrial homework has
been banned by federal law
for some 40 years.
The Jewish Community
Council urges interested per-
sons to share their views on
weakening the regulations
prohibiting homework with
