Family Shabbat
Dinner Tonight

Temple Beth El will host a
confirmation family shabbat
dinner, 6:30 p.m. today. All
confirmation students and
their families are requested
to attend. Feature of the eve-
ning's service will be a ser-
mon delivered by Jay Moses,
president of Michigan State
Temple Youth (MSTY) and a
T.B.E. senior.
Temple Beth El's seventh
and eighth grades will host
30-35 Temple Sholom stu-
dents from Chicago for an ex-
change weekend March
27-29. The weekend, "A
Rainbow of Friendship," will
include services Friday eve-
ning at Temple Beth El at 8
p.m. for students from both
congregations and their host
families; a special Oneg
Shabbat following services;
story teller Corrine Stavish;
and songs led by Cindy Pr-
ince. Saturday includes youth
'services, a trip for lunch and
to see the play The Electric
Sunshine Man at Peanut
Butter Players, Cranbrook
Institute, dinner out and an
evening at Camp Tamarack's
Adventure Land including
the production The Star
Spangled Banner by Cros-
sroads Productions and a spe-
cial Havdalah service. Sun-
day morning the groups will
have breakfast in the home of
Dr. and Mrs. Donald Rochen
of West Bloomfield, followed
by a trip to the Holocaust
Memorial Center.
The confirmation class of
1987 will go to Camp Maas
for its retreat April 10-12.
Special programs will include
a Yom Hashoah Friday eve-
ning service, followed by a
program "Rescue of the
Danish Jews" by story teller
Corrine Stavish. Saturday
will include a youth service
and a softball game with the
confirmation class playing
against Temple. Beth El's
High School. Registration for
the retreat will begin this
week.

B'nei Akiva Branch
To Open Sunday

The Southfield branch of
B'nei Akiva Chugim will
open 2 p.m. Sunday. Children
in grades two through six are
invited to Young Israel of
Southfield for a day of Pesach
arts and crafts. Refreshments
will be served. For informa-

B'nei Akiva will attend the
Harlem Globetrotters game
on April 5. Transportation
will be provided. For reserva-
