Shaarey Zedek's city-wide USY dance
raised $800 for Muscular Dystrophy

Some 130 teenagers happily spent $800 on raffles
and refreshments March 7 at a charity event for the
Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Sponsored by Shaarey Zedek's United Synagogue*
Youth, the event used the admission charge and pledges
for dance dedications to boost the night's charity total.
Detroit Red Wing and Pistons tickets, T-shirts and
other items were raffled during the evening. Stuart
Schyland of Beth Abraham Hillel Moses USY was one
of the night's big winners, earning the wrath of his
friends for winning an armful of prizes.
Event chairman for Shaarey Zedek USY was Scott
Matasar.
