Father Alex J. Brunett will
meet with the Mixed Mar-
riage Group of Temple Beth
Jacob on Thursday at 8 p.m.
Father Brunett did post-
doctoral studies at the Ecu-
menical Institute in
Jerusalem.,
He has been the director of
the Office of Ecumenical and
Inter-religious Affairs for the
Archdiocese of Detroit since
1973. He has been the pastor
of Saint Aidan's Parish in
Livonia since 1973.

Film On Cantors
To Be Screened

In honor of Jewish Music
Season, the Cong. B'nai
David Men's Club will spon-
sor a special showing of the
film The Voice of Israel, 8:15
p.m. March 28, in the
synagogue's social hall.
This 1931 film features
Yossele Rosenblatt, Mor-
dechai Hershman, Dovid
Roitman and other famous
cantors, as well as the Meyer
Machtenberg Choir. Cantor
Stuart Friedman will intro-
duce the film.

Shomrey Emunah

Rabbi Yaakov Pollak, rabbi
of Cong. Shomrei Emunah in
the Boro Park section of
Brooklyn, N.Y., will be the
featured speaker at the an-
nual anniversary banquet of
Cong. Shomrey Emunah, 6
p.m. Sunday at the Young Is-
rael of Oak-Woods.
The topic of his address
will be "Shomrey
Emunah—Boro Park and
Southfield—Similarities and
Differences." Rabbi Pollak is
known for his work for Jews
behind the Iron Curtain.
The banquet arrangements
committee includes Dr. Lary
Berkower, Morris Prostak,
Alvin Ribiat and Morris Ross.
