appointed by committee
chairman Jeannie Weiner to
head the planning effort for
this year's Freedom Concert
for Soviet Jewry, which will
feature a performance by pi-
anist Emanuel Ax, 8 p.m.
May 20, at Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
Adat Shalom's treasurer,
Hart is also vice president of
Jewish Family Service and
Hillel Day School. She is a
member of the board of gov-
ernors of the Jewish Welfare
Federation and a member of
the United Jewish Appeal's
national women's division
board and of the National
Campaign Committee. Hart's
past leadership positions in-
clude the presidency of the
Michigan Region-Women's
American ORT and American
Women for Bar Ilan Univer-
sity as well as chairmanship
of the Jewish Theological
Seminary Dinner.
Weiner has appointed a pl-
anning committee for the
Freedom Concert. Members
are: Peter Alter, Susan
Friedman, Joel Gershenson,
Dean Gould, Bill Graham,
