Detroiters will have an
opportunity this summer to
participate in one of three
National Family Missions to
Israel. Dates are: June 14-24,
June 28-July 8 (led by De-
troiters Peter and Ellen Al-
ter) and Aug. 9-19.
Besides the usual Israel
tourist sites, the ten-day
itinerary will include group
bar and bat mitzvah cere-
mony on Masada, a visit to a
military base and home hos-
pitality in Ramla.
Five-star hotels, guided
tours and most meals are in-
cluded. Costs are based on
the number of participating
family members. Trained Is-
raeli counselors will travel
with the group to lead and
supervise special youth pr-
ogramming. Children must
be at least 6 years or older.
