Bonds New Leaders
To Visit Israel in May

Metro Detroit's New Leader-
ship Division of State of Israel
Bonds will participate in the
annual New Leadership Inter-
national delegation to Israel
May 17-29, it was announced
by Donald Wagner and Lawr-
ence Wolfe, division co-
chairman.
Leaving from New York
abroad El Al Israel Airlines,
the 13-day trip includes a cele-
bration of the 20th anniver-
sary of Jerusalem's reunifica-
tion, visits to industries and
projects built with Israel
Bonds, visits to the Knesset,
the Israel Museum, Beit
Hatefutsoth, the Golan
Heights, Judaea and Samaria,
plus a tour of Israel's aircraft
industry.
Also included will be tradi-
tional sites such as Jerusalem
and the Old City, Masada,
Tiberias, the Qumron Caves,
the Western Wall, Yad Vas-
hem, Mt. Herzl, Mea Shearim,
Mt. Scopus and the Mount of
Olives.
Delegation members will
have the opportunity to meet
members of the Knesset, resi-

dents of new border settle-
ments, young Israeli profes-
sionals, Israeli soldiers at mili-
tary installations and high
ranking Israeli officials. (Past
delegations have met with
Shimon Peres, Moshe Arens
and Yitzhak Rabin.)
Other features include an
opening night celebration,
boat ride, barbecue dinner,
picnic luncheons, free time for
relaxing and exploring and a
farewell party.
Accommodations, based on
double occupancy, will be at
the Plaza, Hilton and
Laromme, all five-star hotels.
Tours will be conducted in air-
conditioned buses with
government-licensed guides
selected by the Israel Bond
Organization.
The fee of $1,795 includes
round-trip airfare from New
York, group airport transfers
in Israel, hotel accommoda-
tions, touring, entrance fees
and most meals. Delegates are
responsible for their own air-
fare from Detroit to New York.
